- Is there a IIS system for each classic Laverda model?
There are IIS systems for the 1000 180° equipped with original Bosch HKZ (--> 1978) or BTZ (since 1978),
all the 1000 120° RGS, RGS Corsa, RGA, Executive, SFC 1000.
Racing systems are also available.

In the cases of he early triples, ignition systems are couples with a new 250W alternator to solve charging problems.

- What are the technical basis of an IIS system?
The IIS systems are using the most modern hi-technology components, with very high specifications. They don't use simple pick-ups as classic electronic
ignitions but "crank encoders" which calculate at any time the crank position.
When you only pick one or two points of a crank to use as a trigger signal for ignitions and Fuel Injection ( FI ) then all is simple, what we do on the
"Crank Encoder" is pick 6 or 8 points on the crank as reference marks in angular position ( known as "Vector Angle" in english ) however between these
Vector points we time the crank in millionths of a second so we have two parameters, a hard vector value and a time value between the vector points, and
this is what is known as "Crank Encoder" because it knows where the crank is at any time in the 360 degrees of rotation not just one or two points of the
crank as it rotates. The ignition is then extremely precise, the engine is particularly smooth, powerful, the pre-ignition is eliminated.
In the case of the early triples, the ignition is coupled with a new 250W alternator which definitely solves charging problems.

- What improvements can be expected of an IIS system?
Spectacular results: Smooth, powerful, noiseless, vibeless engine, programmable adavnce curves, less fuel consumption, lower engine temperature, excellent
reliability, immediate starting whenever the engine is hot or cold. In the most special cases, the igntio parameters can be changed with a simple home computer.

In the case of the early triples, the ignition is coupled with a new 250W alternator which definitely solves charging problems.

- Are there some other parts to get to match with a IIS system?
In the most cases, it is not useful. However, in the case of the HKZ Bosch ignitions (before 1978) and some BTZs, due to bad quality components (notably
HT coils and regulator), it is often necessary to get new HT coils and a rectifier. We can supply these parts at the best price.

- How to do to get an IIS system? How to do to order one?
The IIS systems are built in Australia. To order them, send a mail to: iismail@optusnet.com.au, mentionning the year and model of your Laverda motorbike.

- What delay of delivery can be expected?
Varies 6 to 12 weeks, plus air mail delivery times for your country.

- How about the cost?
(Prix au 01.01.2004)
* 1000 Laverda 120° and 180° série II: 360 Euros plus insured air mail delivery of about 15 Euro
* 1000 Laverda 180° BTZ: 490 Euros plus insured air mail delivery of about 54 Euro ( 4Kg package )
* 1000 Laverda 180° HKZ: Same as above, plus depends on the replacement ignition coils used or i supply them with adapter plate extra 85 Euro is
a rough figure.

- How to pay?
Bank transfer, or cheque drawn on local funds for some countries.

- Is there a warranty?
We will always help with any failure but of course this needs to be written correctly and a proper time limit. As a guide i will offer 3 year warranty on all parts
and labour, however air freight is not included in the warranty. I also try to locate an owner in the various countries to hold spare parts to help if parts are
needed quickly.

- Is there an after sell service?
We will do our best to answer any questions as quickly as we can, and supply whatever parts if required, also we use parts that can be bought localy in most
countries like USA, UK and Europe for electronic repair, you can get a local repair man to solder in new parts if ever needed in an emergency, ( we have
had this done in the USA and here in Australia for quick repairs after outside damage to the ignition.
For any question, send a mail to: iismail@optusnet.com.au
